The price listed on cars.com for a used car was not the same price quoted when I showed up to the dealership. Be prepared for additional add-on cost that they will refuse to remove if you buy used car from a Toyota dealership. This also happened at another dealership we went to earlier in the day. In the end they offered to remove part of that cost and we ended up buying the car. Also, if they offer to fix something for free as part of the sales make sure you get it in writing and don't take their word for it. The car we bought had some minor cosmetic damage and I was told to come back another day after we bought it. When I returned a few days later there was no one to help and my salesman had the day off. It took over 30 min for someone to finally help out. On top of that I had to leave the car for the day and come back. They did offer a loaner free of charge so that made it better. However, when I came back they said they were able to only fixed 1 of the 2 issues and I was told to come back AGAIN because they had to order the part. I live almost an hour away so this is a bit of a hassle having to come back several times. Why wasn't I told this in the beginning so I didn't have to come back twice? I am still waiting for the final repairs as of this post but this time I was given an IOU in writing. Not a pleasant experience but my daughter loved the car we bought for her.
I do want to add that everyone I dealt with at the dealership was really nice and my sales person, Zachary, was really great! It's just that add-on negotiation and their process for follow-ups needs to be cleaned up so customers know exactly where and who to contact when they arrive.
UPDATE: My sales person, Zachary, reached out and the last cosmetic repair was finally completed. I appreciate that Toyota of Katy reached out to ensure that everything was completed to my satisfaction. As such I have changed my review from a 3 to a 4 star.
